This tour runs between Wellington the “Coolest Little Capital in the World” and Auckland “City of Sails”. Spend two weeks on the North Island of New Zealand playing some of the finest golf courses in the world! From the bottom to the top of the North Island you will experience the sub-tropical far north, the geothermal wonders of the Central Plateau and the and the wine region of Hawkes Bay There are eight golf courses that we recommend on this trip along with numerous non-golfing activity options.

This tour can be customised to suit your requirements. As well as a self drive golf trip for two people, it is available as a private luxury golf vacation for a small group of friends or as a coach tour for a large group.   • Day 01

    Arrive Wellington, 2 Nights. On arrival at Wellington International Airport collecting your reserved hire car, after rental formalities are complete you drive to your inner city accommodation. Remainder of the day at leisure

  • Day 02

    Golf at Royal Wellington Golf Club. Founded in 1895, is one of New Zealand's most beautiful and historic golf courses and one of the best tests of golf in New Zealand. It has been a regular venue for New Zealand Open Championships, and men's and women's national amateur championships.

  • Day 03

    Wellington to Napier, 3 Nights. Golf at Paraparaumu Beach Golf Club. This morning travel north along the scenic Kapiti Coast to the Paraparaumu Beach Golf Club. The course has been host to the New Zealand Open championship on twelve occasions including the 2002 New Zealand Open in which Tiger Woods played. Travel onto Napier after golf today.

  • Day 04

    Napier at Leisure. Golf is available at Hastings Golf Club, sightseeing may include an afternoon Art Deco Walking tour or half day wine tour

  • Day 05

    Golf at Cape Kidnappers. Cape Kidnappers plays above the ocean, atop dramatic cliffs and runs to and from the edge. Cape Kidnappers is built on a ridge-and-valley landscape with spectacular sea views. Enjoy your game and enjoy the setting (because) you may never play golf somewhere like this again'

  • Day 06

    Napier to Taupo, 3 Nights. Golf is available at Hastings Golf Club before you leave Napier or Taupo Golf Club once you reach Taupo today if you wish to play an extra game

  • Day 07

    Golf at Wairakei Golf & Sanctuary Course. The course is set out on 156 hectares of former farmland in the middle of the Wairakei Tourist Park boasting lush manicured fairways and greens, mature tree plantings and magnificent vistas. The course is challenging – sporting its fair share of water hazards and bunkers.

  • Day 08

    Golf at The Kinloch Club. The Jack Nicklaus design has been created around the unique natural features of the site rather than transforming the landscape to meet a uniform golf course design. The course fits the landscape with ease, and the backdrop of Lake Taupo provides a magnificent setting."

  • Day 09

    Taupo to Auckland, 2 Nights. Today you travel to Auckland. There are many roads to take. Go by Rotorua for a Thermal Experience, Matamata to visit Hobbiton or visit the famous Waitomo Caves

  • Day 10

    Golf at Titirangi Golf Club. Recent course updates and the subtle cunning of one of the great masters of golf design - Dr. Alister MacKenzie - provide interest, variety and a true golfer's test at his only New Zealand masterpiece. With its dramatic undulation, deep gullies, trees and especially its bunkering

  • Day 11

    Auckland to Bay of Islands, 3 Nights. Golf at Gulf Harbour Country Club. An early morning round on this Robert Trent Jones 11 designed championship course combines spectacular ocean views and rolling terrain that combine to make Gulf Harbour one of NZ’s most challenging courses. The course has four tee positions enabling golfers of all abilities to enjoy the challenging layout. Continue onto Paihia in the Bay of Islands after golf.

  • Day 12

    Bay of Islands at Leisure. Golf is available at Waitangi Golf Club. Sightseeing may include a visit to the Waitangi Treaty House, historical Russell or a Bay of Islands cruise.to the famous 'Hole in the Rock'.

  • Day 13

    Golf at Kauri Cliffs. A course with amazing views over the Cavalli Islands. Fifteen holes view the Pacific Ocean, six of which are played alongside cliffs that plunge into the sea. The beautiful inland holes wind through marsh, forest and farmland. Golf Digest USA selected Kauri Cliffs 'Best New International Golf Course of 2001'.

  • Day 14

    Depart New Zealand. Sadly your time in New Zealand comes to an end as you return your rental car to Auckland Airport for your onward flight home. Here, we bid you a fond farewell to your homeland and hope you leave with many happy memories of your stay in New Zealand.
