Auckland is a vibrant South Pacific city, the largest urban city in New Zealand and an ideal place to begin a tour.
Beautiful beaches and dreamy offshore islands are just half an hour from the city. In fact the sea is so much a part of the place that an unusually high number of people own their own boat giving the city its name of ‘City of Sails’.
With a sunny climate, outstanding food, wine and shopping, Auckland is a sophisticated city with much to do and see at the beginning of your tour.

Golf at Wairakei International Golf Course

Play 18 holes of golf on the challenging Wairakei International Golf Course. The course is set out on 156 hectares of former farmland in the middle of the Wairakei Tourist Park boasting lush manicured fairways and greens, mature tree plantings and magnificent vistas. The natural contours, 108 well placed bunkers and three water hazards guard the course from those over-ambitious shots. The large greens provide a false sense of security. The subtle breaks and fast pace demand accurate approach shots.

This evening enjoy a dinner cruise on Lake Taupo
Smell the coffee brewing as you board the Cruise Cat, take a seat and enjoy all the comforts as you cruise to the Maori Rock Carvings. A full commentary is given on the history of Lake Taupo as you cruise out of the Taupo marina. It was rebuilt in the style of the times, and is now considered the Art Deco Capital of the world.

There is a wealth of gourmet treats to be discovered in this region along with the wine, food and art trails that weave their way through Napier, Hastings and Havelock North.

On arrival a wine tour has been arranged for today. Your guide who will join your coach has an excellent knowledge of wine and the Hawke's Bay wine scene. A delicious lunch will be served at one of the boutique vineyards
