Tour itinerary

Day 1
Arrive Auckland

Arrive at Auckland International Airport. You will be met by your Golfers Dream Representative and given your documentation and assistance with collecting your rental vehicle before making your way to your accommodation.

We suggest you use the Auckland Explorer Bus – a Hop-On, Hop-Off sightseeing tour with full commentary visiting Auckland's Big 14 Attractions today.

Golf at Muriwai Golf Course

Situated 40 minutes north-west of Auckland Central right alongside Muriwai Beach on the rugged West Coast you play your first 18 holes of golf at Muriwai Golf Club. A traditional Scottish links course with grand views of the sea and New Zealand forests, but with some surprises, like black sand beaches and bunkers. The Auckland region's only all-weather links course.

Day 3
Auckland to Paihia

This morning travel north to Paihia in the Bay of Islands. After lunch depart on a cruise aboard a high-speed luxury catamaran this afternoon, cruising through the game fishing waters to the Cape Brett Lighthouse. Next, is Motukokako Island and the famous ‘Hole in the Rock’, the excitement grows as you make a passage through the Hole and on to the majestic Grand Cathedral Cave. New Zealand’s most comprehensive eco-tour of the historic and picturesque Bay of Islands.

Golf at Kauri Cliffs Resort

A golfing highlight of the tour your round at Kauri Cliffs Golf Course with amazing views over the Cavalli Islands and many holes running parallel to the Pacific Ocean. Fifteen holes view the Pacific Ocean, six of which are played alongside cliffs that plunge into the sea. The beautiful inland holes wind through marsh, forest and farmland. Golf Digest USA selected Kauri Cliffs 'Best New International Golf Course of 2001'.

Day 5
Paihia to Gulf Harbour – Golf at Gulf Harbour

This morning travel south (approx 3½ hours) to the Whangaparoa Peninsula for an afternoon round at Gulf Harbour Country Club. This Robert Trent Jones 11 designed championship course combines spectacular ocean views and rolling terrain that combine to make Gulf Harbour one of NZ’s most challenging courses. The course has four tee positions enabling golfers of all abilities to enjoy the challenging layout.

Day 6
Gulf Harbour to Taupo

Travel south to Taupo this morning visiting the Waitomo Glow-worm caves. Waitomo Caves are world renowned and a magnet for both local and overseas visitors. The Waitomo glow-worm is unique to New Zealand. Thousands of these tiny creatures radiate their unmistakable luminescent light as an expert guide provides informative commentary on the Caves' historical and geological significance. Tours depart every half hour from 9am.

Golf at Wairakei International Golf Course

Play 18 holes of golf on the challenging Wairakei International Golf Course. The course is set out on 156 hectares of former farmland in the middle of the Wairakei Tourist Park boasting lush manicured fairways and greens, mature tree plantings and magnificent vistas. The natural contours, 108 well placed bunkers and three water hazards guard the course from those over-ambitious shots. The large greens provide a false sense of security. The subtle breaks and fast pace demand accurate approach shots. After golf in the mid afternoon you may choose to trout fish on the pristine waters of beautiful Lake Taupo, or have an exhilarating ride on the Huka Falls Jet.

Taupo to Rotorua

Today is at leisure in Rotorua. It’s a short 1 hour drive to Rotorua this morning where you have the opportunity to take in some of the attractions available here. See boiling mud pools, steaming hot springs and geysers at Te Puia Thermal Reserve. Rainbow Trout and the Kiwi Bird at Rainbow Springs. Enjoy an insight into New Zealand farming at the Agrodome. Tonight experience a Maori Hangi and Cultural Performance of song and Dance.

Rotorua to Pauanui – Golf at Lakes Resort Golf Course

Leave Rotorua this morning and travel through the town of Tauranga, to the beach resort of Pauanui on the Coromandel Peninsula. This afternoon play a round of golf at the Lakes Resort Course. The moment you approach the first tee you experience an extraordinary sense of calm. This is your private sanctuary without distraction or intrusion. A unique international standard course, lying amidst the preserved pristine landscape where forest covered hills blend in to some of the most spectacular wetlands seen on the Coromandel Peninsula.

Pauanui to Auckland – Golf at The Dunes Golf Course

Play The Dunes Golf Resort, at the beach resort of Matarangi this morning. A sand based and without doubt one of the most picturesque and more challenging courses in New Zealand today. The Dunes will test even the very best golfer and if the golf is bad the walk is still fantastic. Set amongst the sensational scenery of the Coromandel, the course commands remarkable water views including lakes, the Whangapoua Harbour and the stunning Pacific Ocean. Travel back to Auckland after your golf.

Depart New Zealand

Sadly you depart New Zealand today. Return your rental car to the Auckland airport where you will board your onward flight. We trust you have had a wonderful time in our country and return home with many great memories.
